Sources and coverage
{{ guide.coverage.note }}
A single listed candidate does not confirm that a race is uncontested. Eligible November party rosters take precedence over earlier primary nominations for the same contest; multiple candidates directly listed in a November special contest are retained, including repeated party labels. May nonpartisan judicial contests already decided are not included. Ballot questions are excluded. Named certified write-ins appear separately, with qualification sources; no party or campaign account is inferred. Local write-in, replacement and withdrawal checks are not statewide. Reviewed county sample ballots and official city notices supplement state qualifying lists.
State campaign totals use Peachfile's October 5 candidate export, as of each campaign's latest filed report. Loans, repayments and interest are excluded. Exact office, party, district and candidate matches are required; an unmatched account is not treated as $0. U.S. Senate and House figures use FEC contributions for the 2025–26 cycle, excluding loans and transfers. Reporting dates vary by candidate and appear on the matchup pages. Federal financial research currently covers the major-party nominees, not newly added write-ins. Federal geography uses a separate itemized-address subtotal; industry labels cover only reviewed organization sectors. Independent spending and recent notices are separate from campaign fundraising and are not all dark money.
